From September 7th to 10th “Échappée belle” is the new decoration event of the season, an escape outside the walls not to be missed. United by a love of handcrafted work, a taste for beautiful objects, for work well done, and respect for others and nature, they all adhere to a certain art of living that prioritizes the beautiful, the good, the warm, the useful and the pleasant. It is in a green setting, located 30 km from Paris, in the Chevreuse Valley, within the magnificent Domaine de Quincampoix, that "Échappée Belle" welcomes the decoration professionals. Beyond a professional meeting, these are human and informed encounters, the objective of which is to exchange, share, and present quality objects and works. A myriad of Cocoons illuminates Galeries Lafayette Home
For Christmas, Céline Wright is installing her iconic Cocoon lights of all sizes as breathtaking garlands in the stairwell of Galeries Lafayette Maison. "Nuage Nuage" is an enchanting installation in the stairwell of Galeries Lafayette Maison for Christmas. Several garlands over 5 meters high, made up of a multitude of models from the Cocon collection: Nuage, Cirrus, Giboulée and Cumulus, illuminate this gigantic stairwell with their warm light.
Luminous Flight at the National Archives Museum, Paris
Céline Wright illuminates the grand staircase of the National Archives Museum with her flock of washi paper birds For Paris Design Week and Heritage Days, a dozen swirling luminaires invite visitors to follow this winged path connecting the vestibule to the entrance of the Grand Dépôts. 20 years of the cocoons event
In 2019, Céline Wright celebrates 20 years of cocoons, its most iconic shapes. For the occasion, Hiroshi Ueta, a Japanese calligraphy artist, realises a calligraphy performance blending art and poetry on she Cirrus. This evening, punctuates by a Japanese atmosphere, showcases Céline Wright’s universe, delicately distilled in all her creations.
LEDS C4
The VOILE chandelier is a hymn to movement. In a play of transparency, four sails are superimposed in a chaotic and voluptuous rhythm around an axis whose luminous power was developed by the manufacturer LEDS-C4, a specialist in LED lighting. The chrome ballast contrasts with the lightness of the Voiles, its brilliance and sparkle with the very matte appearance of the paper. The radial arrangement of the washi paper strips accentuates the architectural aspect of the chandelier.This collaboration perfectly combines cutting-edge technology with the lightness and poetry of Washi paper. Presented at Euroluce in May 2017, the Voile chandelier was named "best of the year" at the Design Awards. It is available in two sizes and has been adapted into a pendant and an offset wall light with two Voiles.
CFOC
It was in 2013, when the famous designer Sarah Lavoine called on Céline Wright to design exclusive collections for the Compagnie Française de l’Orient et de la Chine, that the adventure between the two brands began. After the success of Nid d’hirondelle, Céline Wright created new collections for them, including the emblematic Palanquin. Available as a floor lamp, pendant light, table lamp... this light fixture remains to this day the flagship product of the collaboration between Céline Wright and the CFOC. Samurai Exhibition at the Château des Ducs de Bretagne in Nantes
"Samurai: 1000 Years of Japanese History" at the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, Nantes. At the entrance of the exhibition, the silhouette of a Samurai warrior is silhouetted against a red paper sun, with a diameter of 2.20 m, mass-dyed and illuminated by LED strips inside the lens.In another space, a giant sheet of paper, 10 m by 6 m, entirely created on-site, is placed on a illuminated macrolon table. The undulating and light relief is created by sculpted waves covered with several thousand strips of washi paper. The sea of clouds softly illuminates the Samurai armors that seem to float in this celestial drapery.
Cascades d'Envols Saint Honoré Street, Paris
Custom-made Envol chandelier created for Archibuild agency. In this stairwell, the lighting fixture consists of 3 chandeliers composed of 10 Envol luminaires suspended in a cascade over a height of 25 meters.
