A paper shape perched like a bird on a branch
Cocoon, cloud, bird, chrysalis: the names of Céline Wright's lights tell where their shapes come from. For 30 years, nature has remained her first source of inspiration. Offset wall lights express it directly, with a slender steel rod reaching out from the wall and a paper shape hanging from its tip. Céline Wright's Paris showroom welcomes visitors by appointment who want to see these pieces lit before choosing.
A steel tube, a halyard and a sliding knot
The principle relies on very few elements: a black steel tube, a halyard and a sliding knot that holds the pole against the wall and lets you adjust its direction. The system works because washi is light. An 85 cm shape, like the large model of Zen perché, can be held far from the wall without bending the rod.

One-of-a-kind piece
A longer rod to light a table, a paper shape borrowed from another collection, a halyard in another colour: every element can be discussed to create a unique piece.
Smaller sizes
The Cocon mini perché shows that an offset wall light can stay discreet. This compact format fits above a desk, a console table or a bed.
Larger sizes
L'Oiseau perché exceeds 2.30 m in its large model. At Denton Hall in Yorkshire, the bird changed scale: a mobile of six birds spanning some ten metres in height, designed with Box-9. See the project
