Table lamp

I love you Nino
"Simple as two strokes of a pencil" could be the description of this delicate and practical little lamp. A stainless steel stem emerges from a black cast iron base. A small, sandblasted, blown glass sphere is delicately suspended from it by a metal link. Thanks to the long stem on which the glass shade slides, the light source is positioned away from the base, making this lamp ideal as a bedside or desk lamp. Equipped with a dimmer.

Papercraft art
“Washi,” Japanese paper with a diaphanous and unalterable whiteness, has many virtues that are not well known in Europe. Resistant and translucent, it allows for the creation of very large, extremely lightweight lighting fixtures: the Cirrus model, with a 2.20 m wingspan, weighs less than 5 kg. Delicate washi diffuses a soft and soothing light. Céline Wright particularly appreciates the apparent fragility of the paper, which in no way reveals its resistance, perfectly illustrating the fable of the oak and the reed. During her stays in Japan, notably during her artist residency at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Céline Wright made numerous visits to traditional paper factories and workshops and was able to deepen her knowledge. She thus discovered kozo paper with fibers of great purity. This superior quality washi allows her to experiment with new techniques and gives a new dimension to her work.
Celine Wright
Céline Wright reconciles art, craftsmanship, and design. For 30 years, she has been creating paper luminaires with organic forms of extreme lightness. The softness of washi diffuses an enveloping and soothing light. Concerned about ecology, Céline likes to remind us, "Handmade work is the only non-polluting human energy, and the praise of time calms our frantic consumption rhythms." Today, the creator, highly inspired by nature and the land of the rising sun, is turning towards unique pieces or large-scale custom designs. Whether as a laureate of Villa Kujoyama or now in her new workshop in Montolieu in the south of France, Céline explores and pushes the potential of this traditional Japanese material to its extreme to find innovative and natural solutions.
