Céline Wright and Hiroshi Ueta , a calligrapher from Kyoto, combined their shared interest in Japanese art during a performance at the Parisian showroom. Blending art, design, and innovation, this encounter was an exceptional opportunity to showcase the techniques of Japanese paper and calligraphy.
This led to the design of the " In To Yo " light fixture, made of kozo paper, which was later customized for the restaurant "Les deux garçons" at the French Institute of Kansai. This form and the use of this paper with its exceptional qualities are the result of Céline Wright's research and experimentation during her residency at Villa Kujoyama in the fall of 2022.
